Admission process for international students to online Canadian high school?

Applying to an online Ontario high school as an international student – what does the admission usually involve? Do you need transcripts translated, English test, interview? How complicated is it compared to regular in-person schools?

The process is actually much simpler than applying to physical schools in Canada. Most online Ontario-accredited schools accept international students without requiring you to be physically present, and they handle everything remotely. You typically submit your previous school transcripts (translated if not in English), a passport copy, and sometimes a short English placement assessment or writing sample. No IELTS/TOEFL is usually mandatory at admission – they often place you based on an internal test or let you start with preparatory courses if needed. No in-person interview in most cases, just online forms and email communication. Toronto Imperial School has a clear section explaining the whole process for international applicants, including required documents, timelines, and how they evaluate prior credits. You can read the details directly here: https://torontoimperial.com/admission/interntational-students/ From people who've gone through it, the whole thing takes 1–3 weeks, and they are pretty responsive. Way less stressful than I expected compared to traditional boarding schools.
